Everett Alvarez’s French class, taught by Madame Hoefling, is truly a class of big hearts. On March 27th, Madame Hoefling’s French 3/AP class visited Ms. Winner’s special education Life Skills class to enjoy the creation and decoration of Mardi Gras masks, the playing of pétanque, a game associated with the French culture, and the making and eating of delicious French Crêpes! Each student of Ms. Winner’s class was grouped with two of Madame Hoefling’s students, allowing the students to get to know each other and enjoy the activities together. At the end of the day, the students had new friendships, the teachers had a newfound pride in the friendliness and good hearts of their students, and everyone had a nice treat of French dessert! Afterward, students of Madame Hoefling were beyond eager to have another fun day alongside Ms. Winner’s class! There was no better way to welcome the approaching spring break than with arts & crafts, games, and delicious crêpes, decorated with Nutella, fruits, jam, and whipped cream.
