Vicky Isarraras (‘19), involved in the Dream Academy program, kicked off her spring break by traveling to New York. This year, she had the opportunity to travel to the East Coast along with some of her friends and students from many different schools. Isarraras enjoyed her first experience in New York exploring Ivy League Universities, Times Square, and different historical places. “It was like I was exposed to a whole new world. Everything was different and it was always busy. When they tell you New York never sleeps, it is true, New York never sleeps.” Isarraras said.

Isarraras also mentioned that she liked how she got to experience snow for the first time and how she got to travel along with her beloved boyfriend. She mentions a lot about the tall buildings, and how the buildings are what make New York City the most beautiful place on the East Coast. “The buildings are huge making it hard to see the sunrise.” Isarraras said. She encourages other students to join the Dream Academy to experience a whole different and new environment. She talks about the way that it helped her meet so many new people and the academy allows you to share your ideas with others. “There is more to life,” she states. She attempts to persuade more students to join so they will not feel limited and go out their comfort zone.
