Traveling the world is something that most people dream of that few actually do. Imagine this, you and a group of friends and peers traveling to the other side of the world together building better friendships and bonds that will never be broken. Our very own Japanese Club made a dream into a reality for a group of students in the district. On this trip, Salinas High joined our school and had a great once in a lifetime experience.
The Japanese club doesn’t go on this trip every year, it takes two years of learning the language and fundraising, but in the end it was worth it, “Exploring a new area made me a little uncomfortable at first, but by trying new foods and going to new places I made the best out of it”, said V.J Vanderlipe (‘20). All the students enjoyed the trip and had a new experience most only dream of. The trip was full of many new memories and adventures sure that no one will forget. A lot of new friendships were made that wouldn’t have been without the trip making it possible. If you or someone you know is interested in the Japanese culture, join the Japanese club next year! |
